Donna Eich Brooks is a shareholder in our Birmingham office. Donna has represented management in employment litigation matters since 1999. Donna's practice is concentrated in litigating Title VII cases and other employment disputes, as well as in guiding clients with proactive, preventative counseling.  In addition to defending employment litigation, Donna assists employers with affirmative action compliance, OFCCP audits, and questions about HIPAA and COBRA obligations.

Donna grew up in Florence, Alabama. She attended Huntingdon College and graduated, cum laude, with a degree in English. While in college, Donna edited the literary magazine and obtained a minor in Speech and Drama. Donna received her law degree from the University of Alabama, where she served as Lead Articles Editor of the Alabama Law Review, received the Reuben H. Wright award as Outstanding Oral Advocate in the Campbell Moot Court competition, and served on the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board.

Donna is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama, as well as the Alabama state courts. She is a member of the Defense Research Institute.

In her free time, Donna is also a singer-songwriter, having performed at City Stages 2006. She also regularly travels to Nashville and has performed several times at The Bluebird Café.
